This weekend we were excited to meet several new LTR runners for our Intro from the picturesque village of #Ribchester in the Ribble Valley. Despite threatening clouds before setting off, the weather turned out nice and temperatures were quite warm. The route, as with all our Intros, aimed to introduce people to the trails who may not have run them before, and included a good variety of paths and tracks. The route headed out across farm land with a bit of an ascent before taking in some fantastic and intricate trails through Duddel Wood, dropping down to run alongside the River Ribble which was flowing quite high after the recent rain. Runners were then guided back towards Ribchester across more open fields, passing the Roman Museum and the cemetery before arriving back at the car park. Everyone in the group agreed they'd enjoyed the run, and had a positive experience, and it was good to see people who hadn't met before mixing and enjoying the social aspect of what LTR offers. This theme continued as the whole group joined us for some quality post-run refreshments at the popular Potters Barn.
